Gold Medal Round now

Time is flying by, and we're exhausted and exhilarated almost in the same hour. A lot of hurry-up and wait and then the amazing time of on-ice when the players get to do what they've been training to do. Tomorrow we will jump out of the starting gate and battle with the Finns for Gold.

It's been nice to have small moments to connect with the family, but it also makes me look forward to our real trip together once the Worlds are over when I can spend all of my time with them.

The family waiting across the street from where we were meeting in Tampere, Finland. They have done a LOT of walking during their sightseeing adventures.

The team at Opening Ceremonies

Fried herring we bought at a vendor at the market. It was really yummy and tasted more like french fries than fish!

Tomorrow we take the first step towards winning. Let's step with confidence.
