Fleeting snow...

It seems that a lot of snow has fallen, but an equal amount of melting has happened, so it's a rare day when we can play outside. Here's a quick shot of Findlay and I after a morning playing snow soccer. There's a lot of rules in his version of every game we play, which reminds me of myself and my niece Maggie....perhaps it's a youngest child thing?

The Family Gymnast

I would never have imagined that any Stevens family member had enough flexibility to excel at gymnastics the way my niece Lauren has. Here's a snap of her at a recent competition.

Game On

Findlay loves playing any sport, but mostly being goalie in hockey or soccer. Here he's in his hockey gear that he got from his cousins last year, and it's still as popular as the first day he had them!

Father, Daughter cozy time

Olivia and Andrew warm up their toes by the fire. We have never used our fireplaces as much as we have this year.

The Thinker

While this bathroom shot could be thought to be riské, I couldn't resist taking it. What capped it off for me was that he still had his socks on. Findlay is definitely the character of this household.

Axel on the prowl...

Axel finds something else to stalk with the disruption in the dining room during the painting process, he enjoyed new nooks and crannies to investigate. It's moments like this when we remember how cute he is....which have to keep me going for the moments he digs in my plants, knocks over his food bin, gets sick in the living room.....etc.

Rub a dub, dub

These days of throwing all three in the tub for a quick splash will soon come to an end...but on this occasion, it worked and turning on the jets at the end is always a big hit!

Shades of blue...

We have finally rid our house of the multitude of pinks on the walls of our house. We painted the dining room Whipple Blue. Olivia helped for about five minutes until she realized how boring painting can be! We still have some floors that need to be de-pinkified, so perhaps in the spring? Time will tell....

Cuddly kitties...

Axel and Mouse during a rare moment that Axel isn't chasing Mouse. Apparently Axel figured, if you can't beat him, join him. We're very pleased with Axel and in spite of the torment he inflicts upon Mouse, he has helped to replace the void that Niles' passing left in Mouse's life.
