Picnic in the living room

Upon finding a little Spongebob lunch pail that was from a birthday party loot bag...Findlay insisted on having a picnic in the living room. Luckily we were able to fit a milk and peanut butter and jam sandwich in the tiny lunch box.

Enjoying the view...

A great view of Annapolis Royal.

Second ice cream in as many hours...

After a nice meal (albeit not very kid-friendly) in Annapolis Royal, the kids enjoyed a very kid-friendly dessert.

The race is on...

Findlay and Innis enjoying the pedal go carts....Findlay was perfecting his racing block techniques. Findlay was so focused on no one passing him, that he rarely watched where he was going!

Clementine and Sparkles...

The kids enjoyed a chat with Clementine and Sparkles the characters at the park.

Cool down in the afternoon...

Ross, Sheliah and the boys enjoy an ice cream in between ride sessions at Upper Clements.

Keigan at the wheel...

Keigan and Shelly enjoying a ride at Upper Clements Park. Keigan was tromping on the "gas" pedal to get his car to move. I think Shelly might have been a bit nauseous by the end of the ride!

All smiles after camp!

The girls had a blast at Bayside and were full of songs and energy upon pick up.

Only child...

While the girls were away at camp, Findlay was thriving on being the solo child. He really had fun playing with Daddy and we also had a feed of lobster and went to the RCMP Musical Ride with Nanny too!

Off to Bayside

Olivia with her friends Lauren and Nicole at camp. A great week was had by all...the stories keep surfacing and so far it's all good!

Ellenwood Lake

The view from our campsite!

Upper Clements...Part 1

The kids enjoyed a trip to Upper Clements amusement park. They enjoyed a restorative ice cream before taking on the road trip home. The only way I was able to get them to leave the park, was to tell them we'd be coming back at the end of the week!

Frog man

Finn enjoys swimming at Ellenwood Lake. He's really taken to the water much more this summer, which is a good thing, since the girls are fish!

The Enforcer on vacation...

Andrew enjoying our first relaxing breakfast of vacation. He's looking a little battered after his broken nose in a soccer match. He was going to head the ball and came in direct contact with another guy's head! I was glad we weren't there to cheer him on for that!

Pancakes for breakfast

Finn does a squirrel impersonation at breakfast. There were many resident squirrels keeping us company during our trip.

Camping at Ellenwood

We enjoyed a short camping trip to Ellenwood Provincial Park in Tusket, NS. It was very idyllic there and on our first night there wasn't a sound to be heard once we settled down to sleep. The kids enjoyed some much-needed down time and we managed to kick back a bit too, but the return to reality was too soon for us. Next year we're going to try and get further away from the demands of every day.
