What shall I wish for?

Meredith thinking hard on what the big birthday wish should be. Thank goodness it was such a nice night, we managed to keep much of the craziness outside. I'm not sure our new neighbours appreciated that!

Crazy Hair

One of the biggest hits at the slumber party was the lovely hair piece that the girls won as a prize. Meredith tried on a couple of options in this snap.

Axel was loving all the attention and excitement...

Axel loved having all the little girls over for the party. He was taking a moment to relax (this is his sleeping position) while the excitement was outside.

Meredith enjoyed having her friends over for her sleepover. The energy at the house was electric.

Big sister....having as much fun.

Olivia enjoyed the sleepover party as much as Meredith. I suspect there's no turning back for the birthday parties to come.

Where's the Party?

Meredith enjoys running around the yard with her friends during the early frenzy of the slumber party....she's just beaming and the smile never faded throughout the night!

After a tough morning of yard sale work, Meredith enjoys a swim on a summer-like day.

Finn's Preschool Closing...

Findlay poses for a snap with his preschool teacher at their little closing day. He's enjoyed his preschool experience overall, and looks forward to "graduating" to three mornings a week next year.

Mother's Day at Nanny's...

The kids enjoyed playing outside at Nanny's on our Mother's Day visit and they were intent on picking some weeds in the backyard. It's funny how I never could get why Mom wasn't a fan of all the flowers I picked when I was little, and now it's all come full circle, and I get it now!

Photo ops never work with four-year olds!

Findlay was not interested in my little photo shoot on the harbour...the other kids obliged and were patient to wait through my attempts at coaxing the prima donna into participating...with no luck.

Field trip across the Harbour...

The Tulloch cousins enjoyed a Ferry ride over the Halifax Harbour to play on the Halifax waterfront. The kids enjoyed exploring and eating a picnic lunch...they always eat so much better when they're outside! In this photo are Keigan (6), Meredith (7), Rowan (4), Findlay (4) and Olivia (9).

Proud of his reward...

Finn's been working hard on some of his sounds (k's and f's) and we used a toy as a reward to keep him motivated. He was so happy when he got this car after consistently saying milk, OK and car properly. His speech has been coming along well, but he's still tough for those who just meet him to understand. Here's hoping we make some great progress before starting big school next September!

Healthy eating pays off...

Since the early fall I have worked at eating much healthier with a goal of losing weight and feeling better. I have managed to lose nearly 40 pounds and I feel a lot better! I can't believe I've lost so much weight as I didn't think it was possible. I'm including shots of a before and after as I find it's the photos that really show the difference.
