A little less poised....

The girls enjoyed a summer-like afternoon barbeque. Looking forward to many more!

Singing debut...

The girls had their singing debut this morning at Church. They were very nervous, but were well-received and did a great job. They're going to another church next week, so we'll see if they get a little more comfortable the second time around!

This cat's a nutty one...

Axel makes us laugh at least once each day and we're usually shaking our head at the same time. He is simply fearless and curiosity gets the better of him every time. In these photos he desperately wanted something that went under Andrew's dresser drawers, so he opted to go in the top drawer and down behind the drawers to get under the dresser! We had to remove a drawer to let him out, but he wasn't distressed by the pickle he was in at all. I'm laughing and shaking my head as I write this!

You can see in the final photo he is underneath the drawers and still playing without realizing he was stuck.

Riddle me this....Facebook, friend or foe?

OK, so much of my blogging time has been sucked into the vortex of Facebook, the new "friend network". Now I must admit, it's neat to connect with some blasts from the past. It's also a bit creepy. There's so much information given out for so many to see, and as a parent I find it a bit of a worry.

Overall, it's benign enough, but I can see so many potential problems with it.

I'm feeling a little guilty too as by joining it, I gave it some legitimacy for other friends who were reluctant to join. Now if it becomes an annoyance for them, I will be responsible for the problems it causes....indirectly anyway.

My apologies for neglecting the blog for my new "friends?" I think I can keep it all in check, but with identity theft so rampant should we be putting ourselves out there for so many to see?

I'm try to be careful with the blog on information and keep it for only friends and family to see, but Facebook seems a little more pervasive. My question is, "Beyond connecting with a long lost friend (who, if you lost them...were they really that close?), what is the point?!

Meredith's biggest fan!

My good friend Alayne, who was perhaps was a little overdone after a long week of working at the Canadian Ringette Championships, made some homemade pom-poms to cheer Meredith on at her debut at the CRC's.

How cute are these two?

Finn and his good buddy Sarah wrestle over a ball. What a pair.

Easter Egg Rolling

The kids (most of them) were excited to roll eggs in the Tulloch family tradition. Olivia was having an emotional moment, so she wasn't so thrilled. The prepubescent rollercoaster has taken on passengers and it's a wacky ride already!

Thankfully it's mostly melted now...

Here's our big snow for the winter....and it came in the spring. The kids were thrilled to finally have some snow to play in, but the grown-ups weren't so happy. Somehow we Canadians convince ourselves that winter is over in April, but we don't get warm weather until late May if we're lucky. Mind over matter!

Cousin cuddle...

The kids were thrilled to have their cousins from Bathurst visit over Easter. Rowan and Meredith enjoyed sharing a chair with Lauren before she ended up succumbing to a throat infection. Lauren still looks pretty perky in this shot, but she faded as the weekend went on. She was a trooper throughout though, and the kids had a lot of fun together.
