So long dear Mouse, the cat.

We've had to make a difficult decision today to put down one of our beloved pets. Mouse, the cat, seemed to have deteriorated in his health over the last couple of days and we chose to put him down as opposed to pin our hopes on very expensive and not always successful procedures.

He was a wonderful cat and we will miss him a lot, but he certainly had a good life too.

Tryin' to push through the winter wearies...

Back from the arena and enjoying a leisurely Sunday morning. The kids are doing their own thing, and Andrew's taking a shower and I'm typing away. Things are good for us, and we are truly blessed to have our health and a fairly cohesive family unit.

Winter is starting to get to most everyone I know, and the talk of warm-weather escapes are integrated into the typical Canadian weather talk. I still marvel that so many can afford to make these escapes, so consistently every year. I guess this year instead of lying on a sandy beach, we can lie on our new hardwood floor and take solace in that!

In an effort to make the most out of our winter, Andrew is rallying the troops to go for a skate on the lake. Findlay is thrilled to be going and while I love the family time together, I think I get enough skating in the run of a week!

Must go get myself ready for the adventure. I think one day I'll get a chance to properly blog. I miss the opportunity to reflect that it has given me in the past. Perhaps I can capture that time of reflection again soon....thanks for following along with my stream of consciousness!

Snaps of late...

Things are so busy, that I think I had more photos of couches (we were shopping) than I did of our family when I last looked at the digital camera! Here are a few I have managed to take over the last little while....

A visit to Nanny's....always ends with a lollipop....

more pics to come, but I'm off to the rink....for my first of four hours today (only have three hours tomorrow!)
