Remembering Mona

My Aunt Mona just passed away last night. While I don't get to see her often, she has always been special to me and has treated me so well over the years. On many occasions she welcomed us and a multitude of friends into her home on drives through Kingston, Ontario. She always had such life and spark and reminded me instantly of my Dad whenever I saw her. It was uncanny to me how much a sibling could resemble another in spite of gender and geography differences.

I was happy to have had a visit with Mona this summer when she was a bit healthier, and will treasure that time with her all the more.

Cuddle time with Daddy

Olivia's always happy to have some cuddle time with Daddy.

Special times with Nanny

We enjoyed a visit with Nanny not long ago, and the kids always enjoy the special attention she gives them. Here, Olivia is in the kitchen helping with some cookies, and Findlay is enjoying playing with some vintage Lego.

The Blizzards

It's been a hard year of losses for the Blizzards, and as a coach it's been hard to lose so much, but the girls are having a blast, so I guess that's ultimately what it's all about. Perhaps I need to learn a thing or two from them!

Ringette Player

Meredith's having a great ringette season this year. Her new shirt says, "My Mom skates faster than your Dad." I couldn't resist it and got one for both girls. They wear them proudly. It's really fun to watch them develop and grow as players (and people of course!).
